What Orivanta Pay provides
Orivanta Pay is a payment aggregation service. It gives your business one interface to collect money from, and send money to, mobile money wallets, cards and bank accounts in the markets we support.
We are not a bank and we do not hold a banking licence. Funds move through licensed operators and financial institutions we work with. We act as a technical and commercial intermediary between your business and those providers.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be a registered business, or a person authorised to act for one, to hold a live account. We may ask for company registration documents, proof of address and identification for directors before enabling live payments.
You are responsible for the security of your API keys and for every action taken with them. Treat a live secret key the way you would treat access to your bank account, and rotate it immediately if it is exposed.
Fees and settlement
We charge a percentage of each successful transaction at the rate shown on your account. Failed and abandoned attempts are not charged. Fees are deducted before settlement unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Settlement timing depends on the rail and the receiving institution. We publish expected timings in the dashboard, but we cannot guarantee the schedule of a third party operator or bank.
Your obligations
You may not use Orivanta Pay for activity that is illegal in the markets where you or your customers are located, for products or services you are not licensed to sell, or to disguise the true nature or origin of funds.
You must give your customers a clear description of what they are paying for, an accessible refund policy, and a way to reach you. Excessive disputes or chargebacks may lead to reserves, higher rates or account closure.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account without notice where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, a legal breach, or a risk to other users of the service. Where we can, we will tell you why and what is needed to restore access.
You may close your account at any time. We will settle any balance owed to you after outstanding disputes, refunds and fees have been resolved.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for losses caused by the failure or delay of a third party operator, bank or network beyond our control.
Nothing in this document limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to your business.
